Trailer Sway Control
This Ford Technology provides safety to the driver and the vehicle with a trailer by determining if the load is swaying, which reduces the abrupt movements that can arise as a result of the weight of the load. One of the bennefits of Trailer Sway Control is the possibility to increase the control that the driver has over the vehicle and towing, which allows greater safety for the vehicle, the load and the driver.
How does Trailer Sway Control work?
Trailer Sway Control Technology works by automatically combining the assist functions: Advanced Traction Control (AdvanceTrac™) and Roll Stability Control (RSC®), using the sensor that monitors whether the trailer is swaying. If necessary, Trailer Sway Control will reduce vehicle power by applying precise braking to help reduce trailer or load sway.
