Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS)

Ford's Electric Power-Assisted Steering (EPAS) Technology is designed to be responsive and keep you effortlessly on track by giving you a strong sense of steering control. Offering more assistance for light steering when driving around town and parking with less assistance, also this steering is firmer and easier to control when driving at higher speeds on the highways. The steering settings are perfect so you can experience and comfortable ride that keeps you on track.

How does it work?

Because Ford EPAS Technology uses an electric engine, rather than a hydraulic pump, the steering is programmable. However, it is not dependent on the engine, so if your car stops it still has power.

This also improves fuel efficiency by up to 5%, as steering adjustments are made only when speed, road and weather conditions require it.
