Ford Motor Company provides warranty coverage for select hybrid and electric vehicle components, including the high-voltage battery, that are defective in factory-supplied materials or workmanship. This coverage lasts for 8 years or 100,000 miles from the warranty start date or whichever comes first.
Ford dealers are the best place to diagnose the problem and see if the repair is covered by a warranty.
Important: The high-voltage battery is not covered if it is damaged due to improper vehicle storage. See your Owner's Manual for storage procedures required to protect the high-voltage battery.

The range* of your Ford electric vehicle (EV) indicates how far you can travel before you need to recharge. It's based on the amount of energy currently stored in your vehicle's battery and your overall energy consumption. Think of range as the "fuel gauge" of electric vehicles.
You can check your EV's range using the range display behind the steering wheel. Plus, with the Smart Range feature, your vehicle is doing the complex calculations to update your EV's range in real time.
The range of your Ford electric vehicle is influenced by several factors, including:
- The kilowatt-hour (kWh) size of your battery pack. Generally, the higher the kWh, the greater the range.
- Vehicle weight, including cargo and trailer.
- Climate and temperature.
- Driving terrain (flat or hilly).
- Other factors, such as acceleration, driving speed and hard stops.
Keep in mind how much you tow or haul, as adding weight to your payload can reduce range.
