BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert
Back up and change lanes more safely with the BLIS® Blind Spot Monitoring System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Ford Technology that can warn you when it detects a Vehicle that makes it hard to see into your blind spot, through of various sensors with radars turns on an indicator light in the side mirrors and emits an audible alarm. In addition, a display in the message center indicates which way the vehicle is approaching.
How does the BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert works?
BLIS® Blind Spot Monitoring System Technology with Cross-Traffic Alert equip in Ford Vehicles works in several ways:
• When the vehicle is moving forward, it will assist the driver to identify if there are vehicles in the blind spot before making a lane change.
• When backing up, it activates Cross Traffic Alert which will notify you if a vehicle is approaching from the side.
• When traveling on a road, BLIS® will activate a message on the dashboard when the vehicle equipped with this technology detects that it is approaching the edge of the lane.
• Upon detecting a vehicle approaching from the side, BLIS® technology will respond by turning on the amber light located in the side mirror, the warning light on the dash and an audible alarm inside the cabin to alert the driver when a vehicle is approaching by the side.
